The new 1TB cartridge is the highest capacity RDX cartridge on the market, with Tandberg Data also offering customers a variety of RDX cartridge capacities, including 160GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB. The 1TB RDX cartridge will allow users to back up their entire server onto a single cartridge, ensuring that their data is fully protected for instant availability or offsite safekeeping. RDX QuikStor is a disk-based removable storage system with portable cartridges that offers rugged, reliable and convenient backup, ideal for the SMB market. Tandberg Data's AccuGuard software increases effective backup storage capacity and decreases the backup windows leading to hard dollar savings. Using source-based deduplication - deduplication of data by identifying and removing redundant data prior to storage - optimizes bandwidth, allowing daily backups to run as much as 20 times more efficiently. AccuGuard's flexible file searching, drag-and-drop or right-click restore, and point-in-time disaster recovery assures users of easy, effective data retrieval. In addition to RDX AccuGuard, RDX QuikStor is compatible with most popular backup software, including EMC Retrospect, Symantec Backup Exec, Yosemite Backup, CommVault Galaxy and CA ARCserve software.
